Eyes That See – 2 of 3

“Eyes that look are common. Eyes that see are rare” J. Oswald Sanders**

“O God-Enthroned in heaven, I lift my eyes toward You in worship” Psalm 123:1 TPT

Eyes focused on worshiping God creates opportunities to see things uncommon to the human eye. Worship is to be focused on God not on us. It’s our act of acknowledging Him as our Creator and source of EVERYTHING we need. When we begin to spend time giving God our attention, then we start to see things more from His perspective.

When we truly worship…*the things of earth grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace. We soar upon eagles wings and touch the heavenly realm. Earthly things take on a different meaning. Our eyes become enlighten in seeing how God can and does give us strength to overcome anything.

“Open our eyes Lord, we want to see Jesus, to reach out and touch Him, and say that we love Him. Open our ears Lord, and help us to listen. Open our eyes Lord, we want to see Jesus.” Open Our Eyes: Robert Cull

In the year 2020, when we desire more than ever to have perfect 20/20 spiritual vision, know this fact…

“Eyes that look are common. Eyes that see are rare.”**

Having the rare sight God freely provides enables us to see why He did something a particular way. You know, that circumstance in your life that makes no sense. The one you didn’t approve of. The one that you still have scars from. Having His vision allows us to clearly see that His ways are perfect in an imperfect world. Our common eyesight would have missed it.

“Lovers of God have been given eyes to see with spiritual discernment and ears to hear from God” Proverbs 20:12 TPT

Having His vision allows us to clearly see that His ways are perfect in an imperfect world.

God, open my eyes wider to see beyond the things I just look at. May my worship to You create views that are rare to the common eye. May my gaze upon You be pleasing Lord.
