Another year is coming to a close. Another time to set aside for a look back. We reflect to mark where we have been and where we are heading.
As I reflect on the 3rd year of Lingering In The Oasis existing, I try to wrap my thoughts around why I do what I do and the future.
Transparency can be good medicine. It might feel a bit uncomfortable and can be risky…especially if hurt is involved. Emotional and mental bandages have long been removed. Just like Jesus brings goodness by being the light in the dark and difficult places of our lives, exposing oneself to the light builds connections and relationships, even if it might reveal some hidden scars along the way. The good news is there’s much good from being exposed to the light .
Whatever the revelation-light exposes,
it will also correct, and everything
that reveals truth is light to the soul.
Ephesians 5:13
My encouragement to you is there’s so much more than you ever thought could be or would be in your life. God sees and God knows. He values us greatly. If you have scars from your past it’s ok. You are no where near being alone in having those. Don’t remain caught up in what made your scars. God’s crazy unfailing love was designed for us to build upon them. Beautiful things are built upon scars. Lingering In The Oasis was built upon mine.

Turning thoughts and revelations into stories…..photos into supporting content….and using creativity to enhance, God has made something that I never thought or dreamed of. We have had thousands of reads, spreading across an amazing 14 countries. And just when I think or question why do I continue to do this, I receive a comment from someone that I do not know and they blow me away with what a post meant to them.
To all who remain faithful in supporting our website…from close friends and family to those I do not know and may never will, all I can say is thank you for being a Friend in the Oasis and to God be the glory.
I look forward in seeing where His light shines next!
