There’s something about the autumn season that feels so right. The colors, the spices mixed with apples and pumpkins, and the cooler evenings brought on by the shorter days. Personally the shorter days do nothing good for me. I guess some things we treasure come at a price, right?
We fall back an hour in time, the leaves fall, and I can fall asleep really well on cool nights!
I remember participating in a team building exercise that practiced falling. You stand on a platform with your back turned to your teammates, who are lined up on both sides of you. You then cross your arms and fall back, expecting your teammates to create a net with their arms to catch you.
The goal is for you to trust your teammates and for them to work together to catch you safely. I admit, trust is not always easily accomplished with this exercise. Trust in life can not always be easily accomplished as well, especially if you have been hurt or that trust has been broken.
Life’s fall backs require more than others trying to catch us. Honestly, as hard as others may try, there will be times their attempts will fail. It’s humanly impossible to be caught 100% of the time when man is part of the equation.
But there is One whose arms are large enough and strong enough to make the catch every time….every single time.
“His huge outstretched arms protect you – under them you’re perfectly safe; His arms fend off all harm.” Psalm 91:4
God will catch us every time we fall. Once the catch has been made, He will go one step further by placing us under His protecting arms. Therefore, He shields us from any backlash the fall may cause.
Hallelujah! Thank you Lord for Your unfailing arms!
God will catch us every time we fall.
Falling into the Father’s arms reminds me of waterfalls. Just like it’s simple for God to catch us when we fall no matter what the circumstance, the water doesn’t have to make great efforts in going over the rocks or obstacles that might try to stand in its way.
A waterfall simply rolls around or over whatever is in front of it…..effortlessly. No strife involved. No analyzing the situation. No second guessing.
Our Almighty God will not only flow around and over any rock or obstacle, but He will flow through every situation and circumstance that might present itself to harm me. Thank you Lord!
He will flow through every situation and circumstance.
So let fall what may…the leaves, a waterfall, me and my problems, and you’re welcome to join me and add yours too.
We can rest assured that we will be caught by a Superstar Catcher every time we fall. And with confidence know, that our Amazing God’s protection will flow constantly on our behalf.
Let’s just keep it simple… fall and flow.
God, Your unfailing arms bring peace to my mind. They build my trust. Your arms protect and shield me from all harm. You flow effortlessly and victoriously in all of my circumstances.
There’s no one like You.
