From sunrise-brilliance to sunset-beauty,
lift up His praise from dawn to dusk!
Psalm 113:3
Praising God comes easy for me because I enjoy making a joyful noise. Seems like I was born with it in me, yet really we all have it in us. Many simply have never been informed nor discovered it. The praise blood-line runs thick in my family and is continuing a steady stream into the next generation. As proud as I am that we value the importance of praise, it doesn’t require everyone to have a praise history. Anyone can begin at any time to discover how beneficial giving God praise can cover your entire day.
Starting each day with simple adoration directed to our Creator is God’s plan for each of our lives. It’s like an athlete, who exercises in preparation for a sporting event. It makes him/her feel so much better having taken the time to properly get ready for game day.
Our body and mind needs to prepare itself everyday for what the day will bring. Praising God when we rise can do that.
At each and every sunrise,
my lyrics of your love will fill the air!
Psalm 59:16
Fill the air by expressing your love to Him! Fill your space with praise… your home, car, and workplace. Lift up gratitude for His faithfulness in caring for you. Adore Him for His grace, mercy, and forgiveness. Thank Him for not keeping score of your failures, as His mercies truly are new every morning.
I will rise up in the morning with the dew and praise his name. He has given me a place to serve him, a name with which to be known.
― Jennifer Freitag, The Shadow Things
Our days are full of things outside of praise, it’s easy to become distracted….caught up in the web of “many other things”.
Refill the air as often as possible with simple words and thoughts of His devotion to you. He is with you always….waiting for your space to be replenished and overflowing with authentic simplicity that comes from your heart.
When the morning has past, midday blends into afternoon. The last 12 hours whine down into evening. Many of our thoughts and activities are gathered for re-examination. Whether they be a bundle of mess, mistakes, hurt, or nothingness, take claim of the victories He has claimed for you.
He provided so much for you today… perhaps portions of it was not even recognized. Portions that we take for granted that deserve our praise to Him. His presence keeps you guarded against the unknowns. He shines over you through the shadows and disappointments. He has crashed through the busyness constantly on your behave through the laughter and smiles He intentionally guided your way. He is in the center of the good moments and celebrations that brought joy to your doorstep because His hand has handed all of it to you.
Take claim of the victories He has claimed for you.
He brings peace and rest to the day with the setting of the sun.
The sun rises and the sun sets,
then hurries around to rise again.
Ecclesiastes 1:5
The light becomes dim, even as fire remains in the sky. The completion of the sun’s work brings coolness across the earth.
God’s intent is for us to have His peace and rest to end each day.
We lift our praise to Him once again for the sacrifice He made for us. A sacrifice that only comes from a loving Father.
Somehow we find comfort in trusting that a new rising and setting sun will take place again tomorrow. Hopefully we’ll find ourselves praising Him for the joy that it brings. It’s there. He places the joy gift within it. The joy of knowing we get to see it and receive it all over again.
