Our lives are full of events that are centered around carrying and laying down something.
I remember everyday would come to an end when my Daddy would reach into the pocket of his trousers and lay down onto the bedroom dresser the change (coins) and pocket knife he carried.
There are also decades of a laundry basket being toted from room to room … sorting, folding, and putting away items until the next time it makes its rounds, which is sooner than later.

Then there’s another pile of sorts that we tend to carry that we need to let go of. Often times we carry our hurt or dirty laundry around, hanging it out to dry, exposing it to others. We tend to carry issues that are not meant to be kept.
The longer we keep them, the larger they can become.
God reminded me recently by saying ….
Don’t make little things into big things.
So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us.
Hebrews 12:1
So whether you are carrying filth, doubt, hurt or adversity , let this truth sink in deep. A truth that you can wrap yourself completely around this very moment.
We need to unload, release, let go…. not carry any of these stumbling blocks.
How quickly we forget that it all has been washed by the blood of the Lamb. It’s been cleansed by The Cleanser…. The One who removes every stain and replaces them with His brightness.

Don’t make little things into big things.
So let go and lay down. Lay down into the arms of the One who will do all of the carrying. When we do our sights will be on a good path… set with passion and determination.
